The process is described step by step.

Turn on the ignition and start the engine. Insert the USB cable.
Go to 'Menu -> Navi -> Map Data' and select the option 'Update Data'.
Wait for the data to be read.
You will see a confirmation that the new map version has been found and is ready to install.
You'll then be asked for a license code. Enter the code you received from us and select "OK."
Select 'Yes' to start the software update.
Wait until the software update is complete.
Turn the ignition off and restart it, keeping the engine running.
Wait for the new software version to initialize.
Now the map data update begins.
You can view the progress in the 'Map Data' section in 'Menu -> Navi -> Map Data'.
When the update is complete, a dialog box will be displayed requesting that you restart the vehicle.
Turn the ignition off and then on again.
To check if the new version is installed, go to 'Menu -> Navi -> Map' data.
Now the update is complete and you can remove the USB stick.
